This book by Michael Messenger is a valuable addition to a library on ceramics and adds to the research previously published by Geoffrey Godden. Coalport's entire history is thoroughly explored. The struggles of its final decades are especially interesting. Excellent colour illustrations. Still scarce in the second-hand market and worth acquiring.
