About the Author
Great Pacific Maps Principal David Peckarsky has been researching and publishing maps since 1978. A native of Milwaukee, WI, Peckarsky earned a BS in Architecture & Urban Planning at the U of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM) in 1974 and a Masters in Environmental Studies degree from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1977. Based in the Seattle area since 1978, Great Pacific Maps reflect the imagination, hard work and dedication of collaborating with two close friends over a 30+ year period: Wayne Hom of Seattle and Bob Lindquist of Bellingham, WA. This represents it includes Anacortes. Well, it really doens't. A good map of Anacortes is what I was looking for, so I was disappointed. If I wanted a map of the islands, I'd probably be happy enough. Just not what i was looking for.
We are planning a road trip to the San Juan Islands this summer, so this map is an essential. I was pleased that it is laminated and easy to read (and easy to fold up again!). Can't wait to use it!
The map is nicely detailed. We used it this month on a trip to the San Juan Islands. My only complaint is it tears at the creases very easily. I will have to tape it to keep it going for another trip.
